My name is Camila, and I am a certified birth and postpartum doula and founder of Dulce Care Doula, proudly supporting families in Edmonton and surrounding areas for the past two years. Trained through Doula Training Canada, I offer heart-led, evidence-informed care in both English and Spanish, creating a calm and compassionate presence for families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

My journey into birth work began with my own experiences of becoming a mother, navigating two very different births that taught me the power of informed choice, gentle care, and being truly seen. Those transformative moments shaped the way I support others: with empathy, patience, and deep respect for every birth story.

I continue to grow through ongoing courses and advanced trainings, blending modern techniques with the ancestral knowledge of Latin American parteras (midwives). I joyfully support all types of births, yet hold a special love for home and natural births, where families can lean into trust, intuition, and connection.

As a doula, I’m passionate about creating inclusive, affirming spaces for all families, including LGBTQ+ parents, refugees, single parents by choice, and surrogates. My support is both emotional and practical, and I’m skilled in breastfeeding assistance, comfort and pain management techniques, newborn care, and postpartum recovery support. My goal is to ensure every person feels empowered, supported, and cared for throughout their journey into parenthood.

Beyond my work with families, I’ve been deeply involved in animal rescue, helping lead large-scale dog rescue efforts in China and the United States. In my free time, I love to paint, drink too much coffee, and chase after my kids and rescue dogs. I’m known for bringing high energy, warmth, and laughter wherever I go. My friends like to say I’m basically sunshine with a birth bag.
